Laura Macchioni is a Research Associate at the Florence School of Banking and Finance. In 2018 she completed her degree in International Economic and Business Studies at the University of Innsbruck, with a thesis in Macroeconomics about the behaviour of income distribution during recessions. She holds a postgraduate master’s degree in European Studies at the University of Vienna, where she got familiar with internal rules of European institutions and current questions of law and politics as well as legislation at EU level. After her working experience as business developer for a digital media company in Vienna, she joined for 1.5 years the European Banking Authority in Paris as a Trainee in the Economic and Risk Analysis Department. In this context, she was involved – among others – in the organisation of the annual EBA Policy Research Workshop as well as in several task force activities focusing on the Basel Framework.
